The Process: Competitor Assessment Barometer (CAB)
What we do:
We compare characteristics of your store against your competitor’s stores across a wide spectrum as regards the shopping experience. After we have gathered the information, we use a spreadsheet that assigns values to the various categories to determine how customers and potential customers might view the shopping experience in your competitors’ stores.

Why we do it:
Customer service is must more than simply a “May I help you?” In fact, customer service should be defined as “the sum of all acts and elements that allow a customer to receive what they need or desire from your business.” By this definition customer service begins in your parking lot. Our competitor contrast module assigns measurable values to many facets of the total shopping experience. When you see the results of this process displayed graphically you will have a much better idea of areas where your store needs improvement.

The benefit:
Once you know what your customers think about your store and want from your store, it is important to see who’s doing a better or worse job at providing those elements. You may not be able to provide everything your customers desire and suggest buy by being aware of what is available in your competitive arena you can formulate better strategies for the use of your available resources.
