Here are a couple to consider: Web crawlers constantly "crawl" the web, indexing sites and determining where to place your site on the results page of Google or Yahoo or.... One of the things they consider is bulk of the Web site. Therefore, in theory, the more the merrier. However you can't place pages on a site that have no pertinence. The other point consider is that if you want people to return to your site regularly, there must be an incentive to do so. Therefore new/dynamic content is important.
