What we do:
Penetration and Dispersion Quotient (PDQ) is a study of how people move through your store. We spend time observing and charting your store’s traffic flow. We determine how the location of your customer service areas and the location of your various departments influence the way people flow through your sales space.
Why we do it:
It is a documented fact that deeper average penetration into a store corresponds with higher sales per customer. It makes sense doesn’t it? The more products you expose your customers to, the more likely they are to buy! If your 10,000 square foot store is being shopped at only 30% of its footprint, there is great opportunity left lying on the table. PDQ will graphically illustrate these shortcomings.
The benefit:
Being aware of shortcomings in your layout is the first step to correcting them. Although you may elect to forego complete redesign of your sales space, addressing any bottlenecks and traffic impediments can help you improve the level at which your store functions.
